Equalize Startups is a unique organization dedicated to equalizing the pathway for academic women who aim to commercialize their innovations. Established in 2020, the program has mentored more than 170 entrepreneurs, helping them launch companies and secure funding.
What to Expect
40+ talented women will pitch their innovations in four exciting categories: Medical Technologies, Tools, Therapeutics, and Physical Sciences.
The event kicks off with a welcome and keynote address by Allison Byers, author of Fundraising for the Rest of Us, followed by the pitch competition. After the pitches, a panel of experts from corporations will discuss their work with and interest in academic startups, culminating in the closing and awards ceremony.
