Equalize Startups is a unique organization dedicated to equalizing the pathway for academic women who aim to commercialize their innovations. Established in 2020, the program has mentored more than 100 entrepreneurs, helping them launch companies and secure funding.
What to Expect
Thirty-five talented women will pitch their innovations in four exciting categories: Medical Technologies, Tools, Therapeutics, and Physical Sciences.
The event kicks off with a welcome and keynote address by Nancy Briefs, followed by the pitch competition. After the pitches, there will be a panel of VCs discussing the current state of early-stage funding for academic startups, culminating in the closing and awards ceremony.
